A capacity field of 1,150 swimmers are expected to compete next week at the USA Swimming TYR Futures Championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center. The meet is slated for July 23-26 and will mark the third time (2015, 2019, 2025) the GAC has hosted this prestigious meet.
Debuting in 2015, the USA Swimming Futures Championships were developed to provide more up-and-coming swimmers with season-ending championship racing opportunities. In addition to the Greensboro meet, the multi-site TYR Swimming Futures Championships will also be held concurrently in Justin, TX (NISD Aquatic Center), Madison, WI (Soderholm Family Aquatic Center), Ocala, FL (Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training) and Sacramento, CA (North Notomas Aquatic Center).
“The interest from the swimming community in competing in Greensboro has been tremendous as our registrations hit capacity just two and a half weeks after opening,’” said GAC manager David Hoover. “We look forward to hosting the largest field of the TYR Futures Championships sites and working closely with USA Swimming to provide the best possible experience for the swimmers, officials, coaches and fans.”
All-session ticket books are available now online. Individual session tickets will be available at the Greensboro Aquatic Center Box Office during the event.
