Carly Sokal serves as the Event Coordinator for the Greensboro Aquatic Center, joining the GAC team in July 2026. Working closely with the Event Manager, Carly assists with event logistics, client communication, event preparation and execution, as well as social media and marketing for GAC events.
Prior to joining the GAC, Carly gained event operations experience with the PGA TOUR’s Wyndham Championship in Greensboro. She joined the tournament as an Operations Intern in 2024 and returned as a Senior Intern in 2025. During her two years as an intern, she assisted with the preparation and execution of the tournament, including vendor coordination, event logistics and on-site operations. Carly has remained involved with the Wyndham Championship and currently serves as a volunteer chairman on the Operations team.
Carly also gained experience with On Location at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas and Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. She first joined the On Location team as a Student Production Assistant, helping with the coordination and execution of events for the Kansas City Chiefs Family & Friends. She returned the following year as Lead Student Production Assistant for On The Fifty, a large-scale fan hospitality party, gaining further experience in event logistics, coordination and on-site execution.
Carly graduated from High Point University in 2025 with a B.A. in Event Management and a minor in Social Media Marketing. While at HPU, she served on the Executive Council of the Event Management Club and was selected as the 2025 recipient of the Event Management Student Ambassador Award, presented to one graduating senior in the program.
Carly grew up in Summerfield, North Carolina, where she swam for the Bur-Mil Marlins as a child. She now resides in Summerfield with her husband, Aidan, and their dog, Oakley.
