The Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) has been selected to host the 2026 Big 12 Conference Swimming and Diving Championship. The five-day event (February 24-28, 2026) will mark the first time the GAC will host the prestigious conference’s swimming and diving championship and only the second time the Big 12’s Swimming and Diving Championship is being held at a neutral site.
The Big 12 will have seven men’s programs and 10 women’s programs compete in Greensboro.
“The Greensboro Aquatic Center is proud to host the 2026 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships for the first time in our history,” said GAC manager David Hoover. “We look forward to working closely with the Conference and providing an exceptional experience for the student-athletes, coaches, officials and all of Big 12 fans who will be coming to Greensboro and our state-of-the-art facility for the first time.”
The Greensboro Aquatic Center has extensive experience in hosting collegiate championships events having previously hosted numerous Atlantic Coast Conference, American Athletic Conference, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and South Atlantic Conference championships, as well as multiple NCAA men’s and women’s championships.
